ForestEthics Canada is a nonprofit environmental organization founded in 2000, with staff and board members in Canada and the United States. Their mission is to protect endangered forests and wild places, wildlife, and human well-being. Climate change, which threatens to undermine conservation efforts, is also a focus area. ForestEthics catalyzes environmental leadership among industry, governments and communities by running hard-hitting highly effective campaigns that leverage public dialogue and pressure to achieve their goals. ForestEthics Canada is a project of Tides Canada Initiatives.

Greenpeace is an independent, campaigning organisation which uses non-violent, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems, and to force the solutions which are essential to a green and peaceful future. Greenpeace’s goal is to ensure the ability of the earth to nurture life in all its diversity. Their goals are to: Protect biodiversity in all its forms, prevent pollution and abuse of the earth’s ocean, land, air and fresh water, end all nuclear threats and promote peace, global disarmament and non-violence. Founded in Vancouver in 1971, Greenpeace today operates in more than 40 countries worldwide.

Sierra Club BC is an environmental non-profit organization registered in Canada, dedicated to protecting B.C.‘s wildland and wildlife. Sierra Club BC’s dynamic and professional staff work to preserve B.C.’s imperiled wilderness and wildlife, particularly the ancient temperate rainforest ecosystems, and they work to ensure that B.C. is a global leader when it comes to tackling climate change. They serve as an environmental watchdog and work together with First Nations, government, interest groups and the public to achieve their goals.
