VICTORIA -- The B.C. government has set up a $35-million trust fund to pay for the economic impacts of land-use planning decisions in the areas of the Queen Charlotte islands and the north and central coast.

The money will be used to help workers, companies and communities whose interests are badly affected by land-use decisions, such as the creation of parks.
