When is the best time to visit?

It is important to remember that this IS a RAINforest.  The weather is best from June to September, and bear viewing is best while the salmon are running, from August  through early October.  Some things to do when you get there include:  kayaking, canoeing, hiking, yachting, whale watching, sightseeing, First Nations cultural tours, etc. For more info on eco-tourism in the Great Bear go to Tourism BC or check out our eco-tourism links.

When did the campaign to protect the Great Bear campaign start?
